New Year, New Things to Buy

Happy 2017, Everyone! 2016 was a very challenging year for me, personally, but Second Life and my little shopping habit (and my photography hobby) has always been a wonderful distraction when real life gets a little too stressful, and with the latest round of events opening, or opened in the last couple of weeks, it looks like I’ll still have plenty of pretties to ease my worries in 2017, as well.I’m just showcasing a couple of things today from Project Seven, Uber and Tres Chic. Crowthorne, my truly awesome partner and the love of my life, treated me to the new Lelutka Bento head, Simone, so I’ve been having a lot of fun playing with sliders, and loving the new Glam Affair skin available at Uber. I think I have it pretty close to a look that feels like ‘me’, only better. New Year, New Shiloh. 🙂

This new world of Bento mesh is already adding a lot of pleasure to my Second Life, and it’s definitely something I’m eager to explore further.

Anouk Headphones@Crossroads

I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of accessories. If you follow me at all on Flickr, you’ll see several different photos with headphones as one of my favorite photo accessories, so I’m always on the lookout for a new pair. I adore bejeweled Anouk headphones by Bauhaus Movement and available at Crossroads. They’re absolutely stunning and you can get them in gold or silver. You also have an option of a wired version, and they’re so well done, you’ll swear you can hear the music. 🙂

I haven’t been in SL as much as I would like the past couple of weeks, so I haven’t finished Crossroads yet. I was, however, REALLY pleased with this month’s round of Uber, and although I don’t have any photos to share from there at the moment, you should take a stroll around the boardwalk. A ton of cute winter fashions…and since it’s almost officially winter, I’m on the lookout for warmer things now. 🙂

Bauhaus Movement @ Shiny Shabby

Just a quick post…I should know better than to log into SL on a weeknight and think I can do a blog post. *sigh* Events everywhere and Shiny Shabby is one of my favorite monthlies, where I usually end up spending more than I should of my linden balance. October’s round has a ton of gorgeous items to get your Fall started off in the right way, and this cute set of headphones, mask and scarf from Bauhaus Movement, called Anime Beats, caught my eye immediately. It made me think of a futuristic fading away to music photo, so the photo above is the result of that inspiration. Available in several different colors, it’s a lovely set which will please anyone. But most especially the photographers and role-players among us.

Meet me at Shiny Shabby

It’s that time of month (actually a little past)events are starting their newest rounds, and first up is Shiny Shabby, followed by Tres Chic. I’m loving the Roxi set from Bauhaus Movement. A dramatic leather necklace and purse, it’s a definite statement set and available in a variety of colors. I wore ti to accessorize this skirt and bustier from Wayne, a shop I’m not very familiar with, which was available for a great price at Tres Chic.

Enchantment-Bauhaus Movement

Just a quick post before I head off to bed for the night since it’s late here in my neck of the woods and morning comes far too quickly. I’m absolutely enchanted by this round of Enchantment, since the main theme is based on my all-time favorite movie, and one of my favorite childhood stories. So, I’ll be taking a whole series of pics, but I really wanted to share this gorgeous set from Bauhaus Movement first. The purses are available in a variety of colors, and the breathtaking necklace is in silver or gold. I wanted go simple since the accessories speak for themselves so I’m wearing a corset and thong from Erratic, and using a pose & scene from Come Soon. Hair is Argrace and the head and skin are Melissa by Genesis Lab with a lipstick applier.

No links this time since it’s so late and I don’t have time to log back into SL to get them. I’ll try to remember to update, but there are so many exciting things going on in the SL shopping world that I can’t promise.

Luna’s from Bauhaus & Mimikri

So many events happening now, so many events coming up, so many lovely things to buy! It’s a shopaholic’s paradise in SL, lately, and I’m showing off two of my favorite items from 2 of my favorite events. Cosmopolitan delivers some goods every round, and Mimikri’s Luna was something I fell in love with right away. I’ve seen it on a lot of av’s in Flickr photos, so I’m not the only one, apparently. It pairs really nicely with the Luna necklace and purse set available at this round of The Season’s Story.

I rounded out the look with these cute flip-flops from ChicChica (also at Cosmopolitan) and this versatile hairstyle (can switch from behind to over-shoulder on one side with HUD) by Murray, at the Crystal Heart event. Very summer-chic feel to this.

So, if you event hop and batter down walls of 45 avatars to shop, like I might…sometimes…maybe…do, you seriously can’t go wrong with this combo. 🙂

Bauhaus Movement & More

There are so many events with so many lovely things right now that my head is spinning. I have an inventory full of event demos and a dwindling linden balance. But there were some ‘must haves’ and I’m wearing them. Shiny Shabby just recently opened and I love, love, love Mavi, from Bauhaus Movement. consisting of 2 unique necklaces and sweet little purses, you have a choice of metal colors and purse patterns, and it’s one of the most charming accessory sets I’ve seen. I couldn’t resist pairing it with Anja from Dead Dollz, also at Shiny Shabby.

My current ‘everyday’ mesh head is Kristin from GA.EG, but I love experimenting and using other heads and have recently become a little obsessed with the variety of heads from Genesis Labs, and Antonia, available at Collobor88 is no exception. I love the strong features and high cheekbones. Definitely an elegant look.

Bauhaus Movement @ Shiny Shabby

I’m up extra early on this Sunday morning and it’s all because of Spring. Although, noting that we had 3 inches of snow yesterday and it doesn’t feel like Spring hardly matter, since The Seasons Story opens today and it’s going to be chock full of Spring. I promise! For example, Ruby by Bauhaus Movement is a stunning floral headpiece, with added shoulder blooms and a chest belt. Available in 6 varieties of blooms. You’ll definitely have Spring on the mind. 🙂

Dead Dollz Spring Collection

Spring has finally sprung here in the Northeast US, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. For most of us, it was a very long, very cold winter and I’m basking in the warm sunshine pouring through my living room windows right now in RL, and enjoying all of the pretty warm weather fashions in SL. Kiddo Oh has released her Spring line at Dead Dollz and everything is impossible to resist. I love this maxi sundress with it’s semi-bohemian look and it’s summery feel. It can be worn for just about anything, a casual walk in the park with your honey, or dancing the evening away under the stars. All of the items I’m previewing here today are available in several different colors, including this delicate dress.

I’m almost as in love with this flirty cocktail dress, with it’s sleek pencil skirt in front, and loads of eye-catching ruffles in the back. Great for a date night or just to go out on the town, you’re sure to drawn eyes when you’re swishing your bottom around SL.
